Making sure your dog is fuelled up for adventures is hugely important because just like us, they expend more energy when they are living an active lifestyle but transporting all their food can be tricky, especially for extended trips.
We tested the Kibble Kaddie from Ruffwear on a two week adventure around Scotland with the cutest member of the team, Ernie, a 5 month old black Labrador.

The Kibble Kaddie is essentially an adapted dry bag with a host of neat design touches to make transporting dry food as painless as possible. The Kibble Kaddie can hold up to 10l of kibble and thanks to a compressible design, as the volume of kibble decreases the overall volume of the bag decreases too which is very handy when space is at a premium or if you only need to bring enough food for a few days.
The food grade material is oil resistant and seals in any odours as well as being waterproof so the kibble won’t spoil even in the harshest conditions. The 420 denier nylon fabric with TPU finish feels very durable and we think it’ll hold up for many years to come. The roll top closure was very secure and we didn’t experience any spillages and more importantly, Ernie didn't manage to break in!
When it comes to dispensing kibble, the folks at Ruffwear have thought of everything. There is a fold out spout tucked into the side and a strap on the bottom of the bag to easily tip the kibble out.
There is also an internal pocket in the bag which is an ideal place to store a collapsable bowl or treats.
We found the Kibble Kaddie to be an indispensable bit of kit when it came to canine adventures and made meal times much easier. The price of £54.95 will put some off but we’re confident it’ll last for many years and make life on the road much easier.
